Vintage Rare 7-Up Gold and Cherry - National Rollout Lucite Unopened Cans

This is a pair of 7-Up Gold and 7-Up Cherry cans encapsulated in lucite celebrating their national debut. I'm not sure if these are advertising or award pieces.
The 7-Up Gold can is from the 1988 rollout, and is quite rare, as it was for sale for less than two years. From what I've seen, 7-Up gold had a spicy cinnamon ginger flavor and had no caffeine, so it's no surprise that it didn't work out. The block for this can has "National Rollout 1988" written on it and measures 5.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches.
The 7-Up Cherry can is from the 1987 rollout. 7-Up cherry was reformulated in 2009 and 2013, but is currently being sold. The block for this can has "National Rollout 1987" written on it and measures 5.3 x 3.2 x 3.2 inches.
I purchased both of these at an antique store in Central Texas. I'm not sure where these were prior to that, although where ever that was, they were displayed prominently, so both of these are in rough condition with fading, scratches and one or two chips on the edges. Fortunately these still display well, especially in a bright environment.
