    Description

Up for sale is a vintage Stronglight Model 93 50x40-tooth,122mm bolt circle diameter (BCD) crankset, for 5 through 7-speed vintage systems using double chainring drives.
This Stronglight Model 93 vintage crankset has a rare 50Tx40T chainring combination with122mm BCD.
Crank arm lengths are 175mm. The chainring crank arm has a very shallow scrape on the inside of the arm from front derailleur contact which is mainly cosmetic (see next to last photo).
The pedal threads in the crank arms
    were
originally metric, but have be rethreaded to 1/2" x 20 threads per inch to accommodate the more popular English threaded pedals.
The included steel bottom bracket assembly has French threaded right and left cups (35mm x 1mm) and will fit 68mm or 70mm bottom bracket shells and weighs in at 314 grams.
Two dust caps are also included for the crank arms.
Tooth profile of the chainrings show very little wear, and are perfectly usable for cycling or it can be used for display on vintage French, Dutch and Belgium made bicycles or other appropriate bicycles.
Crankset weight is 610 grams less the bottom bracket assembly.
Top, French quality from the '60s and '70s, with gear-cut teeth like the best from Campagnolo and Shimano.
Next to Campagnolo Record, Stronglight was the most used highend crank on French, Dutch, some Swiss and Belgium made cycles.
The Stronglight 93 crankset was considered lighter and stronger than Campy and were highly polished.
This crankset is also highly polished which makes it difficult to photograph.
