    OEM Sony PS2 8MB memory card comes preinstalled with FMCB v1.966 V4 (Extended+). This will enable you to run homebrew applications, play backups, and boot games from a USB, HDD*, or SMB* server.

    Hard Disk Drives can only be used with an Original Phat PS2 and only when used in conjunction with either an original network adapter or one of the aftermarket SATA adapters that are readily available on Amazon.

    SMB servers can be used with all Slim models that have a working ethernet port. Original Phat models can use SMB servers as well but the original network adapter is needed.
    *It is recommended that you use a separate memory card for your save games.
    * FMCB will work on all PS2 models except the very last line of the slim model (SCPH-9xxx). Please make sure and check your model number.
