This is a gorgeous Early 1977 Stingray Bass that is all original with an original case.  This has been inspected, cleaned and set up by the Stingray Man at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description
This is a well loved and still gorgeous 1977 Stingray Bass.  The body is heavily checked which adds some vibe but the bass is overall a beautiful bass with all of the most desirable features for a Vintage Stingray.
This weighs 10 pounds even and has original natural finish.  The neck is a one piece maple neck with the original finish, frets, nuts and decal.  This includes the TM logo decal which was found on the early Stingray Basses.  The hardware is all original and chrome and the electronics are also all original including an epoxy preamp.  The pickups are the early John Holmes Long Pole pickups and this also has routing under the pickups which I call the Thunder Pocket.  All of these original parts are crucial in getting the best sound out of a Vintage Stingray.  This is not to mention the bass is also String Through Body.
This also includes an original case.  This is an exceptional example of a Pre Ernie Ball 1977 Stingray that is going to thrill somebody to no end.
Condition
The bass is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned by the Stingray Man.  I disassembled the bridge and tuners and polished all of the pieces before reassembling.  The wood has all been waxed and this bass really glows.  There is a heavy coat of checking in the finish which I think adds character and some of the finish on the side of the body has been worn off as well.  The frets are in incredible shape showing almost no wear.  This bass is in excellent shape with an original case that is in great shape as well.
This has been set up by the Stingray Man with new GHS strings and this is a thumper.  This bass plays great with exceptional low end and a whole lot of range.  This is the ideal Stingray Bass.
