    Description

    Up for sale is a vintage Orfeus violing bass made in Bulgaria in 1969 (year was told me by its only owner's son).
    It's clear that Orfeus violin bass is a copy of the infamous "Beatle" Hofner. There was always a big demand for "Beatle" basses and it's surprising how many companies missed the opportunity to release their own copy.
    The sound: no sustain, no lows under 90-125HZ, a very "vintage" sound, mainly low-mids. Some people like it - an opposite from Jazz bass.
    This bass has got some damages (2 cracks next to control knobs, missed some pegs bolts, missed a neckplate). But overall it looks nice and originally. The neck is straight. Strings are not original - they were setup recently.
    The bass comes with its faux leather case and original cable.
    It seems that cable pinage and bass socket pinage don't match and the bass does not sound.
