13" Whirligig Propeller kit unassembled SOLID WOOD prop weathervane NO PLYWOOD!

Description

Our 4 blade wooden propeller kit includes a
3/4" thick x 1-1/2" SOLID MOHOGANY hub with 1/8" hole
4)  1/8" x 2 -3/8"x 6-1/4" OLD GROWTH CYPRESS solid WOOD blades .
The propeller will measures 13" across as is and can be made smaller if you shorten the blades.
Some sanding to thickness may be required to fit the blades into the hub slots
Your propeller should then be sanded and painted or sealed to last as long as possible.
KIT ONLY INCLUDES 1 HUB  and 4 BLADES  and does  NOT  INCLUDE  other items pictured that display the finished propeller.
We offer other kits ... One that includes 2 differt size hubs for greater versatility.  That kit can produce 2 propellers , one 13" and one 5.5" when done as we mark and cut them . And  another kit to produce a 15" propeller. We also offer the same 13" propeller fully assembled and primed with white paint.
These solid wood propellers are better suited for outdoors and will weather for a very long time . Only physical assault will harm this wood. Mahogany resists the elements and is why it's used along with Teak and White Oak for boatbuilding.
Tight grain materials like heart pine and old growth cedar have been reclaimed and used for the blades. Unavailable in newly harvested lumber , these old growth timbers grew for  hundreds of years and have very tight grain . This older material has developed natural resins that help to resist rot. Plywood will delaminate without constant maintenance.
